Well it is always said that we need to be physically fit, but did you know that mental health is equally important. Everyday we deal with stress & discomfort. There is a high need for for resources who can help with mental health but the responses are insufficient or inadequate.

Who are most affected?

People who have adverse situations around them are at high risk of experiencing mental health issues. Stigma is one of the major reasons why people don’t seek help in case of stress, depression.

People who live in adverse conditions like war zones are more prone to have mental issues

Socially marginalized groups like long term unemployed, homeless people, refugees, sex workers have higher tendencies to easily have mental health issues.

What can we do?

On an individual level is you have identified that you are suffering from mental health issues, seek HELP! Do not let stigma, embarrassment stop you from getting one.

If you find that your friends and any other person around you is suffering from one, persuade them to seek help. Seeking help when one needs it is no shame.

Getting adequate sleep also helps your mind to process the day’s events and in turn leading towards better mental health.

Eating nutritiously also keeps your mind fresh for a optimum mental health

Journaling also helps to find gratitude and mindfulness by focusing on positive aspects of life.

Conclusion

Maintaining a good mental health should be your priority. You need help seek help. It is better than ruining your day to day life.
